Zola is developing a travel planning service to meet its customers’ needs for honeymoons and other wedding-related travel. Couples invest honeymoons with great import, but these trips come when they are busy planning their weddings. From our research, we know they would value and expert who can help bring their dream trip to life. Just as Zola has reinvented the wedding registry and the rest of the planning experience, we will do the same with honeymoons.
Our travel planning manager will be responsible for leading our team of travel planners. Travel planners will be experts who help Zola couples develop their honeymoon itineraries. They help customers discover options that meet their preferences and budget, confirm pricing and availability, and decide what itinerary is right for them. The travel planning manager will work with our GM to develop and refine operating practices and recruit manage our team of travel planners.
- Strong customer communication skills. Connecting with customers about their dream honeymoon is paramount. Strong writing and communication skills inspire trust and ensure we understand customer needs.
- Knowledge about travel planning. Our customers expert advice, and we rely on you to give them insight. We’ll help with the details around individual destinations, but if you don’t have a passport, this probably isn’t the job for you.
- Diligent and organized. Zola customers are in a busy, stressful moment in their lives, and they rely on us to keep honeymoon planning organized. We can’t drop the ball.
- Works and plays well with others. You’ll need to recruit and manage a team, so interpersonal skills are important. And we’re in the honeymoon business, so we want to act that way.
LOCATION / REPORTING
This role will be based in Montreal and will report to Zola’s GM Honeymoons.
