About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud Migration Intern to assist in migrating customer workloads from VMware ESXi to Platform9 Private Cloud Director (PCD). This role is ideal for students or freshers interested in virtualization, cloud technologies, and cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities
● Learn and understand VMware ESXi, its architecture, and VM operations.
● Understand Platform9 Private Cloud Director (PCD) and its core functionalities.
● Learn and work with vJailbreak, the open-source migration tool used for ESXi → PCD migrations.
● Study customer ESXi environments and analyze VM configurations, networking, and dependencies.
● Perform VM migrations from ESXi to Platform9 PCD following documented workflows.
● Conduct basic debugging in case of migration failures (logs, configuration issues, network problems).
● Assess workload compatibility and map VMware workloads to Platform9 VMs or containers.
● Assist in planning data migration, backups, and validation steps.
● Verify application compatibility post-migration and report any issues.
● Hands on Linux OS / Exposure to OpenStack basics

Required Skills
● CGPA of 8 and above only
● Basic understanding of cloud technologies (AWS / Azure / GCP).
● Basic knowledge of containeriation and Kubernetes.
● Interest in virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and migration tools.
● Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred (Nice to Have)
● Any cloud certification (AWS/Azure/GCP).
● Exposure to VMware, scripting (Bash Python), or open source tools
