Seeking experienced senior embedded software engineers to participate in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) of next-generation automotive sensing technology. This individual would use their engineering expertise to develop firmware components for a wide range of system functionality; and lead the integration on Autosar architecture / platform for diagnostics development (Lidar platform and OEM). As part of an embedded systems team,the individual would participate in activities such as bringing up new hardware platforms, debugging existing hardware platforms, and prototyping future concepts. The ideal candidate would have a strong embedded software development background and understanding of automotive software architecture platform(s).
Responsibilities
- Actively participate, as part of an embedded systems team, in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) of next-generation automotive sensing technology
- Architect, direct and coordinate all aspects of Automotive Diagnostics related functionality
- Experienced with OEM requirement development with ASPICE compliance
- Implement customer requirements by configuring AUTOSAR basic software components & developing complex device drivers
- Participate in embedded systems team activities such as bringing up new hardware platforms, debugging existing hardware platforms, and prototyping future concepts
- Integration & Development of Customer specific SW components with sensing technology software components
- Develop and integrate device drivers for a wide range of both internal and external microcontroller hardware
- Technically guide a team of engineers (onsite / contractors) to achieve project goals / milestones for Automotive customer
- Requirements traceability from Software Requirements to Architecture to Design & Code
- Peer Review & Design reviews of SW work products
- Customer communication on technical topics
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Specialized competency in the area of Automotive Diagnostics
- Working knowledge of Autosar, Bootloader concepts in Automotive industry
- Strong knowledge in development of SW modules using AUTOSAR tool chain
- Experience in working on SW projects compliance with minimum ASPICE Level 2
- Understanding of ISO26262 / FuSA compliance for safety critical requirements
- 8+ years of experience constructing C or C++ embedded firmware with projects demonstrating proficiency in coding, verification, unit testing, integration, and debugging
- Solid foundational knowledge and hands-on experience using inter-system communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI and Ethernet
- Working knowledge of one or more computing architectures such as FPGAs, DSPs, GPUs, MCUs, SoCs and their associated hardware computing platforms and tool flows
- Solid foundational knowledge and hands-on experience using microcontroller peripherals including ADCs, DACs, Flash, EEPROM, timers, and watchdogs
- Automotive Tools: • Vector CANape • Vector CANalyzer • Vector CANoe • Vector DaVinci • Vector vFlash
- Communication Interfaces: • Automotive CAN Bus • SPI Protocol • MIPI • I2C Protocol • UART Protocol • Ethernet
- Hands-on experience on diagnostic protocols such as UDS over CAN and DoIP over ethernet.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- Prior experience developing LIDAR sensing technologies
- Working knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts in Automotive industry
