Job Description

As our first Senior Operations Strategy Manager, you will initially focus on creating the best customer-centric pre-charge off experience, by driving decisions and improvements through customer insights, data analysis, and experimentation. You can expect to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of your initiatives.
For any lending company, a critical aspect to the business is collections or what we like to call "Fund Recovery." Let's be honest - collections gets a pretty bad rap. And, in our opinion, often deservedly so. Here at Possible, we believe we can do it differently - and better! This role provides a unique opportunity to define and implement Possible's fund recovery philosophy: one that is customer-centric, highly digital, proactive, and sustainable. To accomplish this, you will be collaborating with operations, credit risk, engineering, data science, product, and legal to build the best experience for our customers.


    • Use your intellectual curiosity to become a subject matter expert within the areas of Operations/Fund Recovery; understand internal process flows, customer insights, regulations, best practices, key performance indicators, etc.
    • Independently own initiatives to improve fund recovery efforts by building dynamic collection and communication strategies from pre-collections to post-charge off
    • Crafting efficient customer communication templates and conducting Braze E-mail campaigns
    • Develop testing methodology and processes centered around pre-charge off fund recovery
    • Lead assigned projects with cross-functional teams in support of cash collection
    • Create & operationalize settlements programs and determine what customers would be eligible for the programs
    • Design special offers around our settlement strategy and workout quid-pro-quo strategies
    • Quantify the impact of your initiatives by leveraging multiple data sources and reports to draw conclusions; summarize and present results to stakeholders and executives
    • Responsible for Cost-Benefit analysis of all pre-charge off programs
    • Define and own fund recovery KPIs


    • 8+ years of professional work experience related to strategy, operations, FinTech, financial services, and business analytics
    • Experience building great customer experiences by using data and analytics to create experiments and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Experience owning both the strategy and execution of initiatives with a significant impact on the organization
    • Experience working at a high-growth or early-stage start-up is preferred
    • Exposure to consumer-centric collections programs is helpful
    • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
    • Effective time management and planning skills to assess progress against milestones and achieve results with a high degree of accountability and urgency
    • Expert communication and interpersonal skills
    • Highly analytical person who is comfortable with large datasets, synthesizing insights, and recommending actions from data
    • Desire to solve problems that have a meaningful impact
    • Can switch between modes of thinking from hands-on technical details to high-level product strategy

Work hours:
Possible is fully distributed and has team members across the US and in Asia and Latin America. Our primary coordination hours are 9a to 3p Pacific Time.
