Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing leader to help take us to the next stage of accelerated revenue growth.   Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this person will drive awareness and create demand within law firms and in-house counsel in the US.   Developing and executing growth strategies focused on both litigators and transactional attorneys will be a core lever for measurable revenue growth.  This role will focus on creating demand with attorneys and law firms and will likely expand to a broader audience of businesses that have ongoing legal needs but without dedicated legal counsel. This role is entirely remote, but you must be based in the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S.

What You’ll Do 

Team:

  • Build and manage a lean internal team and agencies with a primary focus of creating demand and driving both product led and sales led revenue.
  • Establish systems that will enable your team to prioritize and execute on their highest-impact work, without getting too bogged down in process.
  • Ensure the Marketing team is tightly partnered with the Business Development, Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations teams.
  • Attract and retain top talent needed to build a high-performing Growth Marketing function for long-term growth

Strategy:

  • Build and execute a demand creating marketing strategy with transparent performance metrics on revenue impact.
  • Own and manage the marketing budget and commensurate KPIs and revenue impact.   
  • Determine marketing plans, processes, and resources required to drive revenue growth by increasing the sales lead pipeline, and supporting account penetration and user utilization.
  • Determine an optimized growth marketing strategy for services in Casetext's B2B portfolio and lead execution. Define product positioning, narrative, and tactics to engage prospects along the customer journey.
  • Implement a world-class customer marketing program, designed to catapult post-live retention, renewal, and upsell metrics and deliver continuous value to our customers.

Channels:

  • Lead strategy and implementation of all aspects of multi-channel marketing including SEM, SMS/push, email, as well as paid advertising, influencer campaigns, Adwords, Youtube, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms, utilizing audience and device targeting, remarketing, conversion tracking, display, and other tactics. 
  • Manage PR and Brand communications through key agency partnerships.
  • Own the Casetext Web experience to optimize revenue generating conversions and transfer of brand value.
  • Build a highly instrumented Casetext referral and affiliate program with a scope of businesses, institutions/associations and individuals/attorneys.
  • Build and manage an organic social media strategy including a formalized employee advocacy program.
  • Build upon and optimize our existing marketing channels, including content, email, ads, SEO, and social media.
  • Introduce new channels to Casetext’s marketing efforts, such as events, influencer partnerships, and brand sponsorships, and turn them into revenue-generating machines.
  • Accelerate our digital marketing programs by working collaboratively with other team members and agencies to maximize website engagement, search engine rankings, and overall inbound qualified lead traffic.
  • Oversee event execution, both virtual and in-person, including sourcing and scheduling speakers, managing event promotion and registration, managing event materials including marketing briefs, event deliverables such as content decks) and run of show documentation.
  • Oversee direct marketing programs (email, social, digital, Direct Mail) to increase the lifecycle and value of existing users reducing churn.

Communications/Content/Design:

  • Manage the internal team and agencies for B2B communications by creating marketing content that positions Casetext as an industry thought leader and continued Legal AI pioneer through the press, research, presentations, events, case studies, marketing materials, client comms initiatives, etc.
  • Own the Casetext content development and design process for disrupting and delighting the legal marketplace to differentiate CaseText value proposition.
  • Hone the Casetext voice and elevate the company's visual identity across all marketing touch points.

Collaboration:

  • Key alignment with Finance and Revenue Operations on return on marketing investments and impact on revenue.
  • This role will require deep alignment and collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, Product and Engineering teams.
  • Partner with sales, BDR, and customer success teams to build programs and deploy marketing resources that increase the utilization of current accounts.
  • Work cross-functionally with other team members and departments to deliver thoughtful and relevant topic, agenda and event recommendations to continuously position the organization as a thought leader and deliver against strategic KPIs.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the BDR management to accurately follow up on leads and ensure proper lead classification post-event.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including marketing operations, sales, and external vendors, to deliver projects on time with excellence.

About You 

  • You are passionate about Casetext’s mission of expanding access to justice. 
  • 10+ years of Growth Marketing and Demand Generation leadership experience within a B2B SAAS organization (SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise).  Proven track record of driving revenue growth from marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • You are a hands-on marketer that not only can manage a highly productive team but can dive in and do what is necessary to accelerate growth.
  • You have experience marketing to a specific profession or industry (bonus points if it’s legal). If you haven’t previously marketed to attorneys, you have a proven approach for learning how to deeply understand a new audience.
  • You are comfortable working in a highly collaborative cross functional environment and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Beyond tailoring your messaging to a particular profession, you’re comfortable using segmentation to create personalized demand generation programs.
  • You’re not just someone who’s able to run a marketing function well; you’re able to build one, and you have experience hiring and managing a growing team of A+ players and agencies.

Salary Range: $210,000-$260,000 (Dependent on Experience)
