Transfix is looking for a Carrier Sales Representative to join our incredible and growing Carrier Management team. In this role, you will play a key role in helping Transfix source and onboard new carriers into our marketplace by utilizing our internal and external tools and resources. This role is heavily focused on building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships through customer service, strong negotiation, and problem-solving skills. There is never a dull moment as a Carrier Sales Representative, as you will juggle many tasks simultaneously while building relationships with new carriers.

*Note: This position will be in office 5 days/week during training, and will shift to a hybrid 3 days/week in-office role afterwards.
- Utilize external databases, resources, and internal tools to prospect and cold call carriers to expand our carrier network
- Make up to 50 cold and/or warm calls/emails per day to meet individual and team goals.
- Onboard qualified carriers into the Transfix network while providing a stellar customer experience
- Know Transfix’s value proposition inside and out; clearly articulate our value to prospective carriers
- Build and deepen carrier relationships in line with the needs of our customers
- Utilize negotiation skills to close on annual/multi-year contracts with carriers
- Support the continuous improvement (innovation, refinement) of our operational/sales processes to drive carrier retention and loyalty
- Work cross-functionally to grow both key carrier partnerships as well as key accounts
You’re an Excellent Fit for this Role if You Bring:
- 1+ years of experience in sales, ideally within the logistics and supply chain industry, ideally within a brokerage setting
- Experience cold calling and warm calling prospects, and are unafraid to pick up the phone and engage with someone new
- A strong multi-tasking mindset; you can manage multiple streams of communication while producing high call volume
- A goal-oriented mindset; you’re competitive, and aren’t afraid of big goals
- The ability to think quickly on your feet to build trusting relationships, and can problem solve and pivot quickly as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills that you use to collaborate across a wide variety of partners & stakeholders
- Proven ability to and manage your time efficiently
What You can Expect from Transfix
- This position will be 100% in office for training, and following the training period will be a hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days remote role.
- The salary for this role is $60,000-$68,500, depending on experience level, scope, and geographic location, as well as Restricted Stock Units (equity) in Transfix.*
